Trouser rips: Just ripped my pair of tropical wool trousers while going through security at the airport. My former pair were from Howard Yount and I loved everything about them but the rise. I am 6’3” and like to wear my pants near my true waist. Any suggestions on where to buy a replacement pair similar to Howard Yount but with a higher rise?
You could try Howard Yount’s new “made in the U.S.A.” line, which has a higher rise. Epaulet has higher rises, I believe.
Secrets: So I got some Howard Yount trousers, and I seriously think they are made by Incotex. They are like basically the same pant. Do you know anything about this?
I don’t know who makes Howard Yount’s trousers, and it’s really in bad taste to reveal a brand’s suppliers.
Long-wing bluchers: What are gunboats? I know they mean a type of shoe, but I don’t really know where to look for these kinds of shoes.
Bowties: Hey Mr. S, I don’t know if you’re much of a bow tie man, but I was wondering if you could help me out a little or point me in the right direction. I’ve never worn a bow tie in my life but I want to try it out, I was wondering if there are specific collars better designed for bow ties or any tips in general to properly sporting one.
I think button-down collars and club collars look good with a bowtie. Obviously, wing collars for tuxedo bows.
Suddenlee: Any idea why Suddenlee no longer shops at Uniqlo? I can still add Uniqlo items to my cart, but I don’t know if that means I can get them.
I’m trying to figure out why you sent me this message instead of Suddenlee. I don’t work for them.
