I passed on an extremely well fitting gingham sport coat last fall in goodwill. I figured I had so many gingham shirts that the sport coat was overkill. Plus, no matter how I tried, you can't wear gingham on gingham... which is kind of sad really.

Yup. It can really be the only pattern you’re wearing. Even putting stripes with it can be too much I think.
