Rancourt & Co. Shoecrafters — Yesterday, strayaway brought to my attention several penny loafers from Rancourt. I think their shoes look really nice and they come in Horween leathers, including their famed shell cordovan.
The video above details their hand-sewn process at their Maine location. While we’ve all seen similar videos from made-in-America shoe companies by now, I never really get tired of seeing passionate people telling their story.
Their penny loafers start at just under $270 with shipping (and just over $500 for shell cordovan), which makes them plenty competitive. I’m definitely considering them for my first pair — even thinking of saving up for the shell cordovans.
