I think referring to Kanye wearing suits as a ‘new trend’ is getting out of hand. I’m waiting for this suit ‘movement’ or as some refer to as ‘trend’ to die out/hear people say “Suits are played out now..” Sadly.. I see that happening. SMH Suits are timeless. It’s not a trend.. it’s classic.Kanye West is starting a fashion movement! Men were wearing suits long long long before Kanye West ever and crew put on their Dior Homme.
Agreed 100%. I’m all for more guys wearing suits — if only so people stop asking me why I’m so dressed up and if I have an interview. (Sidebar: I’m wearing jeans and sport coat! Also: I wish I was going to more job interviews these days.)
But here’s what’s going to happen: A bunch of guys are going to go out and buy suits off a rack (hey, I do it, too) and then not get them tailored for a proper fit. You’re going to see stacked and wide trousers, too long sleeves and ill-fitting shoulders. I’d bet on it, because that’s what I looked like in my first suits.
Learning about proper fit has been a revelation to me, yet it’s hardly ever talked about when you go buy a suit at any given department store or (shudder) Men’s Warehouse. I feel like this crucial piece of education is lost on our generation and maybe several generations back before us.
Still, it’s nice to see people starting to get into this. As Kanye would tweet: #ITSAPROCESS!

Would I rock this? No. Does Kanye rock this? Yes.
What’s amazing here is the combination of solid colors that you would normally never think to put together, yet it works in a way you can’t quite put your finger on.
