It’s on sale: Polo Ralph Lauren seersucker blazer — I’ve written about seersucker before, and this looks like a pretty good deal. Down to $118.50 and available in every size. Plus, I’m a fan of the details on the jacket: a 3/2 roll stance, patch pockets and cotton lining that should be cooler than your typical synthetics.

It’s on sale: Edwin raw selvedge denim — On sale now for $100 and available in straight leg and slim fit. I have a pair of these and think they’re a good deal for the price. Definitely size down 2” (or more) in the waist. I’m a 34” waist and ended up buying a pair in size 30”.

Mr Porter sale now public — If you weren’t a founding member, don’t fret about missing the sale last week. Mr Porter’s public sale includes a lot of those “wardrobe staples” that didn’t qualify for the sale price before.

Founder’s sale at Mr Porter — It’s on again. 50% off all items not marked as “wardrobe staples” or “new arrivals” at Mr Porter. Downside is that means almost none of the denim and none of the John Lobbs qualify for the discount, but you can get some Drake’s ties for half off.
Are you a founding member or not? Well, if you see the discount show up in the shopping cart when you go to purchase, you’ll find out (or you’ll have gotten the email about it). I think this “founding member” status was for people who signed up before the site originally launched. Either way, if you’ve got your eye on something, then it might be worth your while to track down a proxy buyer, as sales after this one that are open to everyone aren’t as deep (I believe they were around 25-30% last time around).

Mr. Porter’s sale continues with discounts up to 70% today, which basically takes things that are “really outrageously expensive” and marks them down to simply “expensive”. However, these slim-straight jeans with a button-fly seem rather reasonable — perhaps even cheap — at $43.50 ($56 with shipping). It’s recommended you size down (so if you’re a 34” waist, then go for a 32” sizing).

John Lobb “William” double monks — These are on sale right now for $540 at Mr. Porter (I think you needed to be an early member though to get that discount). Sadly, they are sold out in most sizes and also still well beyond my pricepoint. Regardless, many other John Lobb shoes are half off.
