Columbus Day sales ending tonight

There’s a bunch of sales going on that are ending tonight (probably around midnight EST) that are worth knowing about. So, in case you missed them, here’s a quick round-up:

  • Lands’ End: Various menswear items are marked down, including their tailored-fit suit jacket and trousers, which puts the price of a full suit at $170. Get free shipping with a $50 purchase using code FALLCOLORS and PIN number 8383.
  • L.L.Bean: Their sale is 10% off all merchandise — including sale and their Signature line. Also, they have free shipping. I’m fairly certain this needed to be activated through their promo e-mail though.
  • Ralph Lauren & Rugby: It’s been discussed before (and thisfits has some recommendations), but you can use RLGIVE2011 and MATCH2011 to get 25% off.
  • Yoox: Not a huge sale, but you get automatic free shipping with a $200 purchase and another 15% off using code vogueweekend@yoox.
  • Brooks Brothers: All of their sweaters are on sale for 25% off.

And just like that, Yoox has 10% off starting today

thisfits:

Heads up, everyone! I just placed an order on YOOX for a few full-price items. The laws of the universe dictate that YOOX will now release a new promo code.

I do it ‘cause I love you.

He totally called it. Yoox has 10% off your order when you use code FASHIONPEOPLE@YOOX at checkout.

The Blazer by Gant — I’m not sure where these fall in regards to Gant’s various lines, but Yoox has nine blazers and sport coats from Gant for way below what I’d assume these would usually go for at retail. Prices range from $180-$240 with limited sizing (and presumably stock) available. If you see something, then you probably shouldn’t sit on it too long.

It’s on sale: Boglioli at Yoox — If you’ve got $200-$250 and have been looking for an Italian summer unconstructed blazer, then I’d head on over to Yoox and check out their summer closeout sale. Pretty big selection with a lot of sizes left in a somewhat reasonable price range.

Finding the good brands on Yoox.com

Yoox offers a lot of great stuff, however, it’s got a very bad signal-to-noise ratio when it comes to finding the quality goods among the thousands of articles of clothing that might occupy a single category.

Fortunately for you, I’ve taken the time to filter the Yoox list of available brands to include only the good stuff. Several are taken from Put This On’s list of “super-mega excellent” and “extremely excellent” brands and I’ve added a few that I’ve recognized from reading great blogs like Die Workwear.

Here’s a filtered list of suits, blazers and trousers. You can certainly use it to find other stuff, including underwear (should you feel so inclined).

And here’s the list of brands I’ve included. Your mileage may vary, however, from this staring point it’s really easy for you to change it up. Please feel free to tell me brands that I may have missed and should include. I’ll update with changes.

Also, use coupon code “11birthday@yoox" to receive 15% off. (Thanks, thisfits.)
